Make Money With Google Adwords ... The most responsive direct marketing platform of all time!
I want to take some time to explain how anyone can make money with Google Adwords.
Some time back I had been looking for a way to make money online with little investment ... I was broke... and during my search over the months I came across the e-book Make Your Words Sell by Ken Evoy.
After reading the book I was hooked on the idea of building my own website to make money but to be honest ... it took me 2 months to commit! I was broke remember and needed to be careful how I spent my money.
Anyway, once I had committed to building the website I never looked back and using Site Build It! was easy with a great system to follow and I was amazed by the results. As Ken Evoy had predicted I started making money with Google Adsense, affiliate links and others. As the site grew with traffic so did the amount of people contacting me to advertise on my site. Eureka! I had made it! ... I was a success on the internet.
During this time you continue to learn and develop like any apprentice or business and it was at this time, during the growth of my business that events took a very fortunate turn ... I came across a business associate Perry Marshall.
Perry is the recognized master of Google Adwords and for anyone looking to make money with Google Adwords you first stop has to be his book ... The Definitive Guide To Adwords.
Now I must admit that when I first read this book I was trying to devour every page because I had grand plans for my business, to expand rapidly and I believed I could make money with Google Adwords. At the beginning of the book Perry writes “This is your bible”. This is your “Art of War” guide.
Strong words but he was proved right and this book has been my bible ever since, and the “Art of War”? well Google does refer to your efforts as a “Campaign”!
How Do You Make Money With Google Adwords?
I must warn you at the outset that you will lose money at first ... 80% of most new campaigns lose money in the first week(s). You have to use this time to collect your data and set your campaign up correctly.
To be successful with any campaign you need:
- An effective advert that you are constantly testing (Perry describes the techniques you need in his book ... you will be shocked at how much money people waste on ineffective advertising)
- A landing page with the best quality score you can obtain (Google evaluates the page you are sending the visitor to and scores the page relative to the advert ... you can reduce your costs dramatically if you get this right)
- A good USP ... unique selling proposition (what is it about your product or service that gets you to stand out in the crowd?)
- Tracking set up to monitor conversions (this is why Google Adwords is probably the most successful direct marketing campaign... ever! Use Google’s conversion tracking code and place it on your “Thank You” page or whichever page you show as the result of an opt-in or sale and Google tracks the results for you).
- A method of monitoring all of the above to reduce the cost of your Google Adwords ( a simple spreadsheet with the cost of each click on your adwords, number of clicks, sales from clicks and profit made)
It may look daunting but is in fact relatively straight forward with Google providing most of the tools free of charge!
To make money with Google Adwords you will monitor the results of your campaign and make adjustments accordingly to reduce the cost of your adverts and generate larger profits.
